The day finally came

For Cooper to go to Kindergarten!!!! He was a little nervous and did ask me to stay with him, but he did great. I didn't end up staying, even though I wish I could have. This week as been quite emotional for mom. Jason gave Cooper was beautiful fathers blessing the night before and I almost had to have one too. This mom doesn't handle babies growing up so well. And more exciting news, if you look close you can tell that Cooper has lost two teeth. Oh my, where does the time go. Cooper went the second day with no problems and didn't even need me to walk in with him. We are so proud of you buddy and are excited to see how much you learn and grow this year.

Also staying on the school subject, Jason has started his very last semester. We never thought we would see the light at the end of the tunnel, so we are very excited. We just hope everybody survives this crazy semester. I love my family!!!

Bear Lake

We were able to go to Bear Lake for the weekend and spend some time at the beach. Carson rode the water rocket for the first time this year with dad and loved it. Cooper also rode it by himself. He fell off twice and even went again. It was nice to have a little get away before school started.

A place to call home!!!

It is official, we now are proud homeowners. We finally made it to signing day and have a lot of work ahead of us, but couldn't be more excited. Finally a place all ours, a backyard for the boys, a garage to escapes Utah snow, and a new phase of life. I will post pictures soon, she is a fix-er-upper, but that just will make home all the more ours.

Ode to Logan

We finished packing and cleaning the apartment this last weekend. It was a bittersweet feeling. The things that we will miss about Logan are all the fun parks, neighbors, friends, and our ward. We won't miss driving the canyon and the bitter cold days. Logan has been very good to us for three years. It is where Carson joined our family, Cooper started school, and where Jason will END school. So now we are on to the next chapter of life and we can't hardly wait.

Preschool Graduation

Cooper had graduation the middle of May. He was so excited and it is all he could talk about for a couple of weeks. He has grown so much this year and is such a smarty. I never once had to force him to go, he loved going. His teacher's were so great and very creative, there was always something fun every week. Hopefully his attitude of loving school will continue for a long time. We love you Cooper and are so proud of you.

This peacock walked across the yard as we were leaving, the boys thought it was pretty awesome to see.

A Job

Yes it is true. Jason is officially a Mechanical Engineer. He doesn't graduate until December, but he is working as one. We are so thrilled, actually I wanted to scream it from the mountain top when we found out. We had are heads in the clouds for a while, just because we couldn't believe it. He has worked so hard and has been trying for a very long time to get an engineering job, mostly just internships, but this is so much better. I think that no longer being under the poverty line will be completely awesome as well. I am so proud of you honey and you mean the world to us. Thanks for never giving up and always looking to make our future better. You are an amazing father and wonderful husband. You are absolutely the best and I love you, me.

Easter 2011

We had a wonderful Easter. We did Easter with Jason's family on Saturday. Dyed eggs, had an egg hunt, and a great dinner. Cooper loves playing with all his cousins and Carson is starting to catch on to the playing thing, it isn't as fun to always be with mom. All the cousin's patiently waiting, except Carson. He was ready to go find some eggs!!!

Cooper thought is was easier for someone else to carry his bucket, silly boy.

Carson can't hold back his excitement.

We spent the night at Jason's parents, so we didn't have to do so much traveling. Cooper woke up early of course, but instead of coming to get us, he went and scoped out the Easter Bunny's gift all by himself. He didn't want to wake us up. He was probably up for at least a half hour before we realized it, again silly boy.

Oh man, M & M's all over the floor. Cooper trying to get them back in the egg before Carson attacks, this boy loves his chocolate.

Sunday morning we went to church with my family, had another egg hunt, and another great dinner. Cooper had a melt down at church because he did want to go into a class where he didn't know anybody, I don't blame him, but going to class with Jason would have been awful for both of them, Cooper complaining he is bored and Jason's trying to get him to be quite. He ended up going to class and everything was ok, little stink. Then we got home and did the egg hunt.

The famous wheelbarrow rides, pure JOY!!!!

Grandpa helping Carson spot the egg.

An egg was stuck in the pipe, Carson trying to tell me all about it and wishing Dad would hurry.

I didn't get many of Cooper, he wouldn't stop to take a picture. Hunting eggs is serious business.

Picture of the fam. Jason was trying to get our dog Duke to be in the picture, but you can see how well that turned out. We had great Easter and are very thankful for our families who take care of us.

The balloon game

Sorry about my laughing, I couldn't help it. This was so funny to watch and I promise I wasn't trying to hurt anybody.

Cooper's 5th Birthday!!!!

Oh Cooper buddy, we can't believe you are 5 already. These last five years have gone by so fast and you are so big now. You are a great big brother and a wonderful son. Thank you for choosing our family. For his birthday we decided to do a friend's party. We played games, opened presents, and had cake pops. Thanks to all of Cooper's friends that came. Everyone seemed to have a good time.

Pictures of some of Cooper's friends. Hannah, Keplar, and Kyly.
The cake pop cake. They were supposed to look like balloons. The kids loved them and they tasted good.
He is 5 now and still cheeses like no other.

Cooper wanted a Car's themed party, but ended up with Spider Man and Madagascar toys. Oh well, he loved them all.
He got his own trampoline. Jason thought it was a good idea for him to burn some energy in these winter months when he can't go outside. Both Cooper and Carson loved it and it still is sitting in my living room. We need to work on getting it moved, but it does make one great conversation piece.

Cooper had a weekend long birthday. We did the friend party on Friday and Jason's parents came up. They are the ones that gave him the trampoline. Then on Saturday my family came up. We went bowling and out to dinner. So Cooper had two nights of presents and two nights of blowing out candles.
Not sure what we are looking at, but whatever it is, it sure has our attention.

Cake pops....round #2.

Cooper you are amazing, smart, fun, loving, and super handsome. Mom is still adjusting to the idea of you being five. That means kindergarten and I'm not sure I'm ready for you to grow up. Thanks for being you buddy and I hope you had a great birthday. We love you so much!!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day !!

We gave the boys lunch boxes full of goodies for Valentine's Day. Carson was excited about the treats and Cooper loved it all, as you can tell he couldn't look up for even two seconds. Silly boy.

Jason wanted cinnamon rolls for Valentine's. A true gift of the heart, they take forever to make.

This is for Kynde. She is teaching English in Ukraine for the next few months. We love you and Happy Valentine's Day !!!

Oh little Bubba

This guy is busy and has a thing for sitting in stuff. He loves to wear shirts on his head and is a super messy eater. I am not really sure why I allowed him to eat spaghetti by himself. It made a cute picture, but the clean up was bad, so bad. Carson is getting so big and his personality is so funny. He loves to give hugs and kisses and if you ask him what a dog says he barks, well sort of grunts. He has a very serious poker face around strangers, he is very hard to get to crack a smile. He loves to be thrown in the air and being crazy. He also likes throwing random things in the garbage, movies, Cooper's toys, or whatever he finds on the floor. We have found ourselves routinely checking the garbage for things that shouldn't be in there. It is amazing how fast they grow and change overnight. We love you Carson!!!

Helping with Laundry

All the hard work of folding and putting away leads to an empty basket to play with. I just am amazed that they both fit in it together. Cooper is a great big brother and patient most to the time with Carson. Carson follows him everywhere and wants to do what he is doing.

Christmas 2010!

So I know it is know February, sorry. Better late than never I suppose. We stayed at Jason's parents house for Christmas. We decided to try it since we weren't up for all the travel. We go down on Christmas Eve and usually come back home, then go back down Christmas morning. Way hard on the boys, so this plan worked well. The boys got to play with their toys longer and we all got to enjoy the morning without being so rushed. The only thing we forgot were the stockings, thanks Grandma for finding us some to use.

Carson loves the vacuum, so Santa gave him one of his own. He is funny to watch roaming the house with this thing, Santa did pretty good.

Cooper got some tools and kits to build. He also got a night fury dragon, it blends in with the chair, he is sitting on top, Santa wanted to see how long it took Cooper to notice him. Cooper did pretty good, it only took him a minute or two.

The infamous stair picture. Both Jason and I grew up taking family pictures Christmas morning on the stairs before we could look at what Santa brought. Cooper woke up first, so we had to wake Carson and he wasn't to thrilled, he just wanted to be held. Cooper is on the verge on breaking down since he has to wait.

Carson yawning or way excited to get candy

Ready to get to work

The whole family Christmas morning, a few of us are still trying to wake up!!!! We had a wonderful Christmas and the best gift we could have is being together forever.
