Its Great to be 8!

Not sure where these last eight years have gone, but they sure went fast.  Cooper was baptized on March 1st and it was an amazing day.  One that won't be forgotten and thanks to the rain that morning it helped make it even more memorable.  Cooper has been so excited for this day and has done his part to get ready.  When Jason and I started teaching him the required lessons for baptism a while ago we asked him if he believed the Book of Mormon to be true.  He said yes and we asked why.  Cooper's answer was because we say it is and we are his parents and don't lie to him.  It took Jason and I a minute to recover from that answer and it hit me pretty hard.  We are so blessed to be given these children to raise and teach and they are so dependent on us in so many ways.  We learned that even though we think he might not be listening, he really is and is taking it all in.  We love you Cooper and are so proud of your decision to be baptized.  We are excited to watch you grow and develop a testimony of your own. Thank you for your example to all of us.  You have such and loving heart and have a special gift of saying very thoughtful prayers.  You are great brother and a wonderful son, thanks for always being you. Also thank you to Jason for being a worthy priesthood holder and being able to bless our children....he said that this was his first English baptism and even after being home from his mission for many years, he still was wanting to say it in Spanish and had to really think about saying it in English. Just a good memory for us to remember. I love my family!

Makenna's 1st Birthday!!

We had a little pool party for Makenna's 1st birthday. I can't believe how fast time flies and with your third baby it feels even faster.  My mom made this cute little tutu for the occasion and we had a polka-dot theme.  Her hair is so long on top and not so much on the sides.  Oh well, we can do some killer pig tails.  Makenna is walking all over and soon to be running.  She is trouble with a capital T. She is into everything, so much more than the boys ever were.  She is my silent observer always planning her next adventure.  She loves the cupboards, the boys toys, the garbage, and anything she shouldn't be in.  She weighs 25 lbs and is 30 in. long.  She is a great sleeper and has 12 teeth already.  This girl doesn't waste time when it comes to cutting teeth. She loves to be wherever I am and pretty much is my shadow all day.  She brings such joy into our lives and we love our little Miss Mac.

We were camping the actual day of her birthday, so we had a little celebration.  All four of us are trying to get her to blow out the candle.  What a bunch of nerds is what she was thinking I am sure.
How she spent her afternoon, asleep on dad. No better spot!!
She wasn't super impressed with the store bought cupcake, but that was ok with me.  Truth be told I don't like messy babies :) It is much nicer to keep them clean, although we were camping and she loved the dirt and rocks.

2nd Grade

First day of school.  Hard to believe this kid is getting so big!!! He came home so excited saying it was going to be a great year.  You are right Cooper, it is going to be a great year.  Thankful for this boys attitude and outlook on life. I asked him what his favorite thing about today was and he said lunch, leave it to Cooper to be thinking about food. Silly!!

the BREAK!!!

This happened one afternoon after a busy couple of days. I don't think I can remember the last time all 3 kids took a nap, let alone at the same time.  I almost didn't know what to do with myself. Definitely worth documenting....Cooper stills tells me he was just resting his eyes.

Fireworks

These two boys love fireworks and this mom loves that they are such good friends. Cooper and Carson thanks for being such great kids.

Last Day

Last day of first grade. The stink was so happy I was taking his picture early this morning! You had a great year buddy.  Cooper got the "punch line award" in his class, because he always has a joke to tell. His teacher thinks he is the funniest kid, wish I could get him to be more funny at home. He takes life pretty serious some time. What a fast school year. Hard to believe that you will be in second grade and getting baptized. Pulls at my heart strings every time I start thinking about it. Love ya buddy and I am so proud to say you are mine.

Yeah for Piggies!!

This girl is getting to big!!! Hard to believe nine months has already gone by.
